In this question:
Universal Containers wants to rollout new product bundles with several pricing options. Pricing options include product-price bundles, account specific pricing and more. Which product satisfies these needs?

Custom AppExchange App for product pricing
Workflow on Opportunity/Opportunity Product
Lightning Process Builder
Formula fields on Opportunity/Opportunity product

Can anybody explain why the correct option is “Lightning Process Builder”? for me the correct option should be “Custom AppExchange App for product pricing” as none of other 3 options looks like the best way to implement Product Bundles and Special Pricing (it could be a nightmare to implement it with process Builder, isn’t it?) so I think we should find an App Exchange App to extend Salesforce functionality to cover these requirements…

Thanks for posting. Looking at the question I’m wondering where this came from as it feels very much like a part of the question is missing.

That being said it’s helpful to keep in mind most packages from the App Exchange are someone sharing the customizations they have built for a specific scenario that they feel will be repeatable, rarely have they built something you could not build yourself given the resources.

In this case I’m wondering if they are referring to creating the Product Records automatically with Lightning Process Builder. You can use Lightning Process Builder to generate additional records upon the first records creation and can manipulate the values of the pricing if they follow a specific formula for each of the bundle types.
