Enclomiphene citrate tablet is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used off-label to treat secondary hypogonadism. It stimulates the pituitary gland to produce luteinizing hormone (LH), which prompts the testes to produce testosterone while preserving fertility. However, late-onset (age-related) hypogonadism often involves mixed or primary testicular failure, where enclomiphene may be less effective.
